Submissions to present a talk or poster will be made through this website. The abstracts should be submitted as a MS Word document using the following style specifications listed below. An Abstract template and an example is available to download
The entire abstact must fit on one page. This includes title, authors, authors’ affiliations, text, figures, tables, and references.
Letter Page in Portrait: Top/Bottom/Right Margin 1”, Left Margin: 1.25”
Title: Arial 12 pt Bold Page Centered at top margin. Capitalize only the first word and all proper nouns. The title is followed by an 11 pt line space
Authors: Arial 11 pt. Normal. Page Centered. All authors names separated by a comma. A superscript letter should be placed at the end of each others name to designate affiliation The corresponding author also be specified by an asterisk The authors list is followed by a 9 pt line space
Affiliations: Arial 9 pt Italic. Page Centered Superscript letter followed by the address of the authors’ affiliation Corresponding author should include an email address Affiliations are followed by an 11 pt line space Set a Section Break (Continuous)
Text: Arial 9 pt normal. Two columns. 3” width, .25 column spacing. Paragraphs: Justified. Single line spacing. First line of each new paragraph indented by 0.1”. 6 pt spacing after each paragraph. References should be indicated by bracketed numbers, e.g. [1]
Figures: Width should be one column and column centered. A larger figure can span to two columns and page centered. Black/white, grayscale, or color is permissible. .
Figure caption: Start with “Fig. 1” in Arial 8 pt bold. The rest of the caption is in Arial 8pt normal. The caption should be placed below the centered figure. Text is justified, 1 line spacing.
Tables: A title “Table 1” in Arial 8 pt bold placed above the table. Additional text after “Table 1” is optional. Alignment is justified. The table, placed below the title, in Arial 8 pt normal.
Equations: Arial 8 pt normal, column centered and numbered consecutively with equation numbers in paragraphs to the right.
References: Start with the Header References Arial 8 pt bold. References in Arial 8 pt normal, 1 line spacing. Hanging indent 0.25 Each reference starts with its bracketed number e.g., [1] followed by a tab The references should be in a short format. Author lists >2 may be shorted using “et al”.

Save your abstract as a word document. Name the file by the last name of the first author (e.g. Jones.doc). Add a number if multiple abstracts are submitted under the same last name (e.g., Jones2.doc)
